The tour starts from Sarajevo and on our way to Travnik, you will also get informed about the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina and have an opportunity to enjoy the natural surroundings and panoramic sightseeing.
It takes less than 30 minutes to walk from one part of the town to another. It is full of cafes where you can enjoy traditional local coffee always served with a rahatlokum (sweet ) and a cigarette (also a local custom).
In the center of Travnik's čaršija you will see and learn about the Sulejmanija Mosque, also known as the Colourful Mosque.
Entering the Museum of Ivo Andrić, you will see the birth place of the Travnik's most famous resident: the Nobel Prize laureate for literature.
There is a very well preserved furnished birth room,, a library with his works in various languages, a room dedicated to the novel „Travnička hronika“ and some copies of drawings for the story of Ivo Andrić .
After that, we will visit a medieval fortress located high on the hill, with a beautiful panoramic view. It is one of the most beautiful and best-preserved medieval fortified buildings in Bosnia and Herzegovina on which the later historical period left their distinctive characteristics.
At the end, we will take a break and lunch in the Plava Voda restaurant.
